Joseline Annan
Joseline is a Development Communications and Marketing Specialist with Relationship-Based Fundraising experience. She is passionate about her work in the nonprofit sector, where she gets to tell stories that bring visibility to the people who need help and raise funds for them to thrive. Her ability to connect with situations and walk donors through them based on what they are passionate about has helped her build a successful career in Fundraising.
She worked with the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano, building relationships with major donors to increase revenue and nourish communities. In this role, she raised, on average, $3.6 million a year to help feed the communities.
Joseline moved to Ghana and landed a Global Communications position with World Vision International in 2015. She designed and implemented communications plans and campaigns, developed an online mobilizing strategy, and strengthened relationships with external partners, media, elected officials, and community partners. She oversaw ten regions in Ghana and, as a 3-person critical marketing team member, coached and trained over 60 field staff. In this role, Joseline contributed content, prepared remarks, and delivered timely social media content showcasing the impact of World Vision, which yielded 175 new donors sponsoring 600 children in four months. She established and cultivated strategic relationships with government agencies, media partners, and donors.
In 2019, Joseline moved back to the States to be closer to family. She worked as a Communications Consultant for Epiphany Center in San Francisco, where she served as a strong coalition builder, working with agency stakeholders, including donors and partners, to communicate the goals and activities of the center to increase revenue.
Joseline holds a BA, double major in Journalism and Spanish Culture, from Lincoln University of Missouri. During her college years, she interned as a Public Relations person for Senator Rita Heard Days, a Missouri State Senator. She moved to Atlanta after college and served as a Marketing Analyst in the products and development department for Anisa International, a cosmetic brush design and manufacturing Company.
She loves journaling, reading, hiking, photography and traveling! She recently joined the board of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce this year.
Joseline is excited to join the Oakland Public Education Fund as a Development and Partnership Manager to help raise funds for different school projects for the Oakland Public Schools for all the students to thrive. She believes every child and student deserves to have all the necessary resources to grow and thrive as a student, regardless of their background and race. She looks forward to forming partnerships and building trust to help retain and upgrade current donors while seeking other funding opportunities to support the mission.
