Debra White

Debra comes to the Oakland Public Education Fund with twenty years of experience in grants management in Philanthropy and the federal government. In that time, she has made Oakland her home.

Debra also has experience as a systems developer and process control engineer in the Petroleum Chemicals industry. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Pennsylvania where she combined engineering processes and concepts with research in education.

Debra has completed four half marathons and raised thousands of dollars to bring awareness, research, treatment, and patient care to those suffering from stroke and blood cancers. She continues to train and complete races.
