Salesforce and Oakland School Volunteers
Since the beginning of the partnership with Oakland in the 2016-17 school year, Salesforce has been committed to people power, helping to launch the Oakland School Volunteers (OSV) program and continuing to support the program every year since. OSV serves as the single point of entry for volunteering in any Oakland public school and is the first active city-wide public school volunteer program that Oakland has had in many years.
Elevating the impact of the Principal Innovation Fund, Salesforce has adopted 12 middle schools to make a positive impact on school culture and student achievement through relevant and engaging volunteer events. Activities include school clean-up days, career exposure opportunities, teacher appreciation events, and field trips for students to Salesforce headquarters, TrailheaDX, and Dreamforce. As a result of their partnerships with schools, Salesforce employees have volunteered for over 4000 hours since the 2016-17 school year.
