Teena Rodriguez
Teena is a professional with 20+ years of Human Resources management experience, working for small and large for profit and nonprofit organizations within the Bay Area. Teena joined the Ed Fund in September of 2020. Prior to joining the Ed Fund, Teena was the Operations and Human Resources Manager for a SF based nonprofit organization, for over four years. In this role, she managed all operations/HR department processes and implemented a volunteer training program for those who were re-entering the workforce.
As the Director of Human Resources for the Ed Fund, Teena manages a team of 3 direct reports to ensure that all staff, FSP’s, and key stakeholders, receive HR support in the areas of strategic planning, professional development and training, full cycle recruitment, employee relations, benefits and payroll and state/federal compliance.
Teena feels very strongly about the Ed Fund’s mission, as she experienced first hand what it is to be a person of color, growing up in a one income family within the SF Bay Area. Teena had also suffered from her own personal hardships, and is a Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer survivor. It is due to these personal experiences that give her passion, strength, and the desire to assist those in need. In her spare time, Teena enjoys listening to music, going to the beach, and camping with family and friends every summer.
