A lot of different types of people use the Ed Fund website. Volunteers use it to sign-up and access resources for volunteering; teachers use it to search for resources and connect with community members; donors use it to learn more about our programs and their impact; parents of Oakland students use it to learn about opportunities to help their children thrive.
The Ed Fund wanted to create a user-friendly website to cater to all of these different types of users and serve as a hub where donors, volunteers and community partners come together to support the next generation of leaders in the community.
To make this vision into a reality the Ed Fund partnered up with the Oakland-based and women-owned web design firm MIGHTYminnow. Working step by step with the MIGHTYminnow team has been a great experience, and we feel they’ve created a beautiful new website that is user-friendly and showcases our important work.
The redesigned website features an updated volunteer section which makes it easier for community members to give time to programs of their choice. It highlights many of our fiscal projects who are doing incredible work across the education landscape in Oakland. And the site was tailored for users of visual and language backgrounds to navigate.
